CVM prides ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences in a warm and welcoming environment to our residents. We are committed to providing outstanding service, and we're looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Dining Service Attendant to join our team! 

Position Summary: To assure that the dining facilities run smoothly, assuring that residents are served promptly and properly.

Work Schedule: 6:00am - 10:00am - Part-time

Essential responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performs duties as assigned by the Dining Service Supervisor as outlined in the operational guide, i.e., serve meals, prepare meal trays, bus tables, clean kitchen and dining room areas.
  • Supervise and participate in assembly of trays for tray-line service ensuring trays are complete and garnished properly.
  • Assist/complete menus for Health Center residents based on preference/nutrition PCC.
  • Conduct daily visits with Health Center residents. Observe Health Center Residents during mealtimes.
  • Conduct daily visits with Health Center residents. Observe Health Center Residents during mealtimes.
  • Post menus and spreadsheets prepared by Dining Services.
  • Prepare Health Center menus for distribution for the upcoming week.
  • Uses equipment and materials in a safe and acceptable manner, follows established safety procedures, uses appropriate safeguards, and observes common sense rules of safety in all on-the-job activities including the Injury and Illness Prevention Program.
  • Demonstrates high standards of personal hygiene, including, but not limited to using proper hand washing techniques, observing "no smoking" policy except in designated areas, wearing hairnet or hat in food production area and maintaining a neat appearance; industry non-slip shoes.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months dining service experience
  • Be able to carry or lift up to 35 lbs. 
  • Basic knowledge of the Point of Sale (POS) system
  • Must have the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Work cohesively with co-workers, residents/family members, and the public
