Work shift will be from 11:30am - 8:00pm
Position Summary: The Dining Room Supervisor's role as a Maitre d' is to ensure the seamless operation of the dining facilities. This position calls for a diverse set of qualifications and competencies that combine leadership, communication, and customer service expertise.
Essential responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise Dining Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the dining room to ensure smooth service and a high standard of resident satisfaction
- The Dining Room Supervisor/Maitre d' acts as the leader of the front-of-house team, orchestrating the dynamics of service to create an unforgettable resident experience.
- The Dining Room Supervisor/Maitre d' represents the establishment and must exude professionalism.
- Staff Management: Train, mentor, and manage dining room staff, ensuring that they adhere to company policies and provide excellent customer service.
- Quality Control: Monitor food presentation, service speed, and dining room cleanliness to maintain a superior dining experience.
- Customer Interaction: Greet residents/guests, address their concerns, and ensure their needs are met promptly and courteously.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen staff to coordinate food orders and ensure timely service.
- Inventory Management: Manage dining room supplies, including tableware, linens, and other essentials, to ensure they are adequately stocked.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.
- Feedback and Improvement: Gather feedback from guests and staff to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Experience with Table Décor: Candidates should demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics in creating elegant, inviting dining spaces. Experience in setting and maintaining table décor—including centerpieces, place settings, linens, and seasonal or themed arrangements—is essential. The ideal candidate will understand how table presentation enhances the overall dining experience
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a dining or restaurant setting.
- Managing reservations, staffing schedules, and floor plans requires: Time Management: Ensuring that operations run smoothly even during peak hours.
- Attention to Logistics: Arranging seating plans and optimizing table turnover for maximum efficiency.
- Understanding of Technology: Familiarity with reservation systems.
- Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to resolve issues effectively and professionally.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure the highest standards of service and cleanliness.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
- Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving skills to address unexpected challenges.
