Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Rotary Senor Living, a senior care facility committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep of the facility, performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular inspections, repairs, and maintenance of the facility's systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Address maintenance requests promptly, prioritizing safety and resident comfort.
  • Repair and replace flooring, walls, fixtures, and other components as needed.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot fire alarms, emergency lighting, and other essential safety systems.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding building safety and healthcare facilities.
  • Assist with landscaping, groundskeeping, and snow removal to maintain a safe exterior environment.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with facility staff to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or facility management, ideally in a healthcare or senior care setting.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with staff and residents.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift heavy equipment, and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Availability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
