- Direct the day-to-day functions of caregivers in accordance with current state rules, regulations and guidelines.
- Meet with care staff to plan shift services, programs and activities, as required.
- Cooperate and work with other departments to ensure that the resident's total regimen of care is maintained.
- Check daily to ensure that care staff is properly administering prescribed treatments and assistance requirements.
- Evaluate resident's physical and emotional status and record on the residen'ts charts.
- Participate in the orientation of new care givers and residents to the community.
- Document when there is a change in the resident's condition.
- Inspect all medication and supply areas daily to ensure they are maintained in a clean and safe manner.
- Assist in completing and maintaining the resident's Care Plan.
- Ensure there is an adequate supply of medications, floor stock care supplies and equipment to meet resident needs.
- Develop work assignments for caregivers to ensure the resident's care plan is met.
