Facility Services Manager - St Elizabeth
IlluminusSt. Elizabeth Nursing Home, an Illuminus Community, is seeking a Facility Services Manager to oversee and manage the maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities of our 40 bed skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to keep the facility in top condition, ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, and manage a team of housekeeping staff. This is a full-time, benefited position including health, dental, vision, retirement and paid time off.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities of our skilled nursing facility
- Ensure the facility (inside and outside) is in top condition, including repairs, upgrades, and cleanliness.
- Ensure scheduled maintenance is assigned for vacant rooms including moving appliances, repairing or replacing sinks, faucets, lights, toilets, painting, etc.
- Manage a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring they are trained and equipped to perform their duties safely and effectively
- Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of boilers, water heaters, air handlers, air conditioners, compressors and air dryers, exhaust units and equipment needs of the campus.
- Maintain compliance and record keeping with safety and health regulations, including OSHA and fire safety requirements
- Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for the facility's equipment and systems
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment needed for the maintenance and housekeeping of the facility
- Respond to emergencies and urgent maintenance needs promptly. Responsible for on-call services
- Ensure the facility meets the needs and expectations of residents, staff, and visitors
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-4 years of experience in facility maintenance including experience with HVAC, preferably in a long-term care or other healthcare setting
- Commitment to quality programs and services for the residents/patients/client
- Excellent communications and human relation skills
- Ability to relate well to the residents/patients/clients, family members / personal representatives
- Ability to maintain and protect the confidentiality of information
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions and exhibit flexibility when needed
- A working knowledge of boilers and domestic hot water systems, heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems. A working knowledge of electrical equipment, appliances and lighting systems
- Ability to perform minor carpentry, painting and use of hand and power tools including routine plumbing repairs, and perform routine mechanical equipment repairs
- Ability to organize and supervise maintenance staff, and outside contractors
- Ability to maintain an inventory of parts, supplies and equipment
